Our Story

Aurora HR Consulting was founded in January of 2023 by Melissa Oglesby, MHRM who has well over twenty-five years of Human Resources experience. Melissa has worked in a variety of industries, from call centers, to warehouse and distribution facilities, and in office environments. Melissa then worked for a PEO company for ten years and served a variety of clients from restaurants, manufacturing, legal offices, medical offices, hospice, stores, to name just a few! She realized after leaving the PEO and working within the corporate environment for just one company was not where her passion fell. She enjoyed the juggling of multiple clients and all the challenges it presents. Thus Aurora HR Consulting was formed. Why Aurora, you may ask? For a variety of reasons, from her mother's home town and her daughter calling her Sleeping Beauty "That's Mama" when she was young. The word holds meaning, it's light, it's beauty, it's strength, it's awe. All the things that bring together a strong foundation for this HR Consulting Service.
